Amazing things are happening: people are getting healed, they're getting jobs, and lots more: miracles, signs, wonders.
Jesus loves you and answers prayer! And every week we are seeing more answers to prayer. Here is a small selection of stories of people who actually experienced proof of Jesus' love and concern for them:
Healed from deep cut in the hand!
Shane is a builder and recently had what he called the worst accident he's ever had. He was on the roof cutting with a sharp Stanley knife, when the knife slipped and cut him really deep into his thumb; down to the bone. His thumb and finger went all numb, so the local A&E department were quite worried and referred him to a plastic surgeon in another town, but who turned out to be ill and therefore unavailable. On the second morning he was still ill, so Shane was advised to go to Manchester. Instead he decided to come to the church meeting where we prayed for him to be healed.
The next morning feeling had fully returned in his hand, and within a couple of days noone could guess that he has had an accident. Jesus heals today!
Free from Addictions!
After 15 years drug addiction and increasingly struggling with anger, one guy hit rock bottom and decided enough was enough. When he came to a Sunday morning and sat down for a chat, he discovered that Jesus can help us by setting us completely free from the past, including addictions.
He decided to follow Jesus, was baptised in His name, and felt incredibly different and better. Jesus not only set him free, but started helping him to put his life back together again. Every day there is evidence of Jesus' love and help. Things started to slot in place, with people commenting on how much he has changed for the better. He has a new and better life now!
Cancer disappearing!
One lady was terminally ill with cancer, which was as big as a duck egg. The problem that worried the doctors was that it wasn't responding to the chemo treatment.
When we prayed for her, she was immediately healed of her head ache that she had suffered from for many weeks. Since then she has been able to eat normally, felt and looked so much better, and her hair is growing back. She had another scan at the hospital and the doctors were amazed! They checked her and her records for hours, because the cancer had shrunk in size to less than a small pea!
Rugby injury shoulder healed!
When we were on the streets of Preston talking to people about Hope for a better life and about Healing, one guy said he could do with that because he had injured his shoulder playing rugby. We prayed for him and then asked him to try it out.
As he moved his arm around he said "The crackling noises are gone! And the pain is gone too!". It surprised him and his friends, but Jesus does really heal today!
Miracle birth!
Recently beautiful Eshioname was born by section at full-term. But why was this a miracle? It was because her mother had been told by doctors that she would not be able to carry a child full-term due to her medical condition.
Eshioname's older sister, Hope, is a miracle baby too! At 16 weeks pregnancy her mother lost all her water, and the doctors told her that the baby would not survive. However, she prayed and believed in God, and eventually was able to carry Hope until 25 weeks pregnancy when she was born and is now a perfectly healthy 2 year old. How amazing Jesus is!
Eyesight restored!
A friend of a lady in the church had some eye trouble and found at some point that he couldn't see anymore. When she was asked to help with childcare, she answered that Jesus can heal him and that we will pray that he will be able to see again in the morning. Guess what happened!?!! Yes, the next morning he could see again! He has been back to the doctor and he no longer needs an operation either.
Hearing completely restored!
Sam, now 7 years old, has been having regular hearing tests since he was 3, which have shown that his hearing in his right ear was down by 30 percent. His parents were told by the doctor that they did not expect this to improve and that he would have to learn to live with it.
His parents were not willing to accept this and prayed that God would do what the medical profession can't do. Sam recently had another hearing test, and his hearing is now 100 percent! He doesn't need to come back for any more tests. Another miracle!
New Born Baby Boy Survived!
When a baby is born it's always precious news. But for one family the feelings were mixed with real anxiety, when the doctors expressed real concern that their baby boy would survive, and warned the family that even if he did, that he may suffer brain damage.
We prayed and Jesus started healing him. Within 2 days he had recovered so well that he was taken off life support. He is doing really well. The medical staff was amazed. Their comment was that his recovery was completely beyond their expectations. This was a miracle!
Saved from bleeding to death!
Cathie didn’t feel quite 100% and went to her doctor. A blood sample was taken, and to her surprise she received a phone call that afternoon with the urgent message that she needed to admit herself in hospital urgently. It turned out that her blood platelets count was so low that she was at a strong risk of having a spontaneous bleed and die!
We prayed and not only did the blood count more than double overnight (which enabled her to be released from hospital), but only 5 days later the blood count was within normal range. Medical staff are surprised how miraculously quick that was. Jesus touched her!
House SOLD in flat housing market!
Peter and Penny clearly heard God speak to them about moving from Caerphilly (South Wales) to Preston to help pioneer a church with us. They needed to sell their house and get a job. Since September the housing market has been really flat. Hardly any houses have been selling!
But ... not only did Peter get a job in the Preston area, they also sold their house and have now moved here! If we make God's good and perfect will for our lives our first priority, God always makes sure we have everything we need to fulfil it, including houses, irrespective of the market conditions.
Jobs & work contracts!
We have seen a number of people get jobs or new work contracts, including Stephen, Shane, Lynn and 3 people called Chris.
God has given us abilities and talents which enable us to have work and have an income so that we can look after ourselves, our families and have plenty to be generous to others as well. If you ask, you will receive! Jesus said so himself.
