What's it all about?
If you have ever found yourself wondering about the bigger questions in life: Why am I here? What's the point in life? Can there really be a God out there? ... then alpha is the perfect place to explore these and many more questions.
What is Alpha?
The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions.
It's low key, friendly and fun and there's no cost.
Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything.
It's supported by all the main Christian denominations. Over 2 million people in the UK and 11 million worldwide have already found it to be a worthwhile experience.
Who is it for?
Alpha is literally for anyone - whether you have a faith or not, whether you are not sure about such things or whether you'd call yourself a Christian, Muslim, Bhuddist, agnostic, atheist or whatever.
When & Where?
We are doing courses on the University Campus. The Student Alpha Course will be running as follows:
- MONDAY evenings 6:30 - 8:30pm (starting Monday 5th October)
- At the EQUATOR CAFE on Adelphi Street (opposite the Uni Library entrance) in the middle of the uclan campus in Preston. (see map on the right)
What happens on an Alpha evening?
Each evening will starts with some FREE FOOD, then the 2nd part consists of a presentation or short film on a relevant topic and the 3rd (and most important) part is to have small group discussions or question time.
Come and have a look! Bring a friend along!
Would you like to come perhaps?
Just pop in and see what it's like for one evening. You could (but you don't have to!) reserve your place on the course or ask any questions by phoning or texting Mark on 07768 473 885 or email Mark by clicking here.
