Sunday mornings on UClan Preston City Campus

What is it like?

You can expect a warm welcome in an informal setting and a vibrant time of praise and worship, in which God clearly speaks and does some wonderful things. We’ve discovered that Jesus is a God of miracles and healing. We see our own and other people's lives transformed by his restoring love and power.

When and Where?

PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING July and August WE ARE MEETING TEMPORARILY IN THE Equator Cafe ON ADELPHI STREET OPPOSITE THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY ENTRANCE.

We usually meet on the Preston City Campus of UCLan (University of Central Lancashire) every Sunday morning at 10:30am and in homes and other places during the week. 

We meet in the Atrium (the cafe/restaurant of the Student Union building) between 53 Degrees (silver cubic building) and St. Peter's Arts Centre (conversted church building) on Fylde Road (which is also the A583). Alternatively access from Adelphi Street via the back of the Library (where the entrance to the Atrium is next to The Source pub).

To find the Student Union Building, please use postcode "PR1 7BQ"

Car Parking

You can either park on the Victoria Car Park, which you find by turning off Fylde Road into Brook Street in front of the 53 degrees building, then turning first right where you'll find the car park on your right hand side.

Alternatively you can park on the Harrington Car Park on Adelphi Street, then cross the road and walk via the back of the Library to the main doors of the Atrium.

Public Transport?

Both the Preston Bus Station and the Preston Railway Station are at walking distance (just over half a mile).

Buses 24, 25, 35, 68, 80, 82, 61 and X61 come through Fylde Road, just get off the bus in front of the entrance to the Student Union building.

Buses 22 and 23 come through Adelphi Street, get off at the bus stop just north of the Library.

 Midweek meetings

We usually meet on Tuesday evenings in the Equator Cafe (on Adelphi Street opposite the Uni Library entrance) or in various homes (e.g. for Beta Course, for Prayer Meetings and for Life Group meetings). At times we have Sunday evening meetings (e.g. Discovering Church) or Monday evening meetings (e.g. Alpha course) in various locations.

Motorways

From the South: > Either use M61 to Preston, which at the end joins with the M6 OR use M6 towards Preston > Exit the M6 at junction 31 and at roundabout turn left toward A59 Preston New Road > At t-junction with Homebase opposite: turn right into A6 > Then follow instructions below "From East Preston"

From the North: > Use M6 > Exit M6 at junction 32 towards M55 Blackpool > immediately turn off at Junction 1 signposted A6 Preston > At roundabout turn left into A6 Garstang Road and keep following for about 2 miles through Fulwood > Then follow instructions below "From Fulwood"

Local

From Penwortham: > Use the A582 fly-over to cross over the river Ribble (from either the Penwortham bypass or by following A59 Liverpool Road and then turning left at bottom of the hill to join the fly-over) > Follow the Ringway until the junction with Aldi and Blockbuster on the left with Staples on the corner and turn there left into Corporation Street > Go straight on through 2 sets of traffic and the road becomes Fylde Road > Notice the Student Union on the right just after St.Peter's Arts Centre and just before 53 degrees (silver cubic building) > Turn right into Brook Street and park on the car park on the right.

From Fulwood: > Follow A6 Garstang Road past Moor Park on left > At 2nd traffic lights after the park: turn right into Moor lane > At the big oval roundabout follow it round for three quarters and take the exit into Fylde Road > Notice the Student Union on the right just after St.Peter's Arts Centre and just before 53 degrees (silver cubic building) > Turn right into Brook Street and park on the car park on the right.

From East Preston: > Following A6 Ringway until the traffic lights just after the footbridge overhead > At lights turn left to continue following the Ringway > Follow through until you see Staples on the right hand side and turn right into Corporation Street immediately after Staples > Go straight on through 2 sets of traffic and the road becomes Fylde Road > Notice the Student Union on the right just after St.Peter's Arts Centre and just before 53 degrees (silver cubic building) > Turn right into Brook Street and park on the car park on the right.
